Learning Outcomes – at the end of the session GPs will be able to:
- Describe current ante-natal management in accordance with the Statewide Obstetric Shared Care Protocols to ensure better patient care and safety
- Systematically assess and manage common pregnancy complications, such as hypertension with increased skills and knowledge of resources
- Discuss potential issues relevant to Prenatal Screening and Diagnostic Testing for Fetal Chromosomal and Genetic Conditions
- Confidently discuss pathology results and outline roles, responsibilities and opportunities to improve the management of the pregnant woman with gestational diabetes at a practice level
- Identify, assess and refer common neonatal discharge issues
